Veterans Day 2008 at the New York Mercantile Exchange

On November 10, 2008, the NYMEX Charitable Foundation hosted a dress-down day to raise funds for Building Homes for Heroes in recognition of Veterans Day. The event raised $10,000 for the severely wounded men and women of the United States Military. Through a dedicated committee and Board of Directors, the NYMEX Foundation brings together members, shareholders, customers, and staff who volunteer their time and positive intention to fund and serve those in need.

In appreciation of their support, Andy Pujol, president of Building Homes for Heroes, and Anthony Grisanti, a member of the organization’s Board of Directors, presented Ms. Madeline Boyd, the president of the NYMEX Charitable Foundation and Ms. Laura Cavallaro, the group’s executive director, with Certificates of Appreciation. Also on hand for the presentation were Carolyn Paszke of Building Homes for Heroes and retired Army Corporal JR Martinez.

Building Homes for Heroes would like to thank Ms. Boyd, Ms. Cavallaro, and all of those who made such generous contributions.
