The 2nd annual New Jersey golf outing to benefit the severely wounded men and women of the military was held on June 4, 2009 at the Battleground Country Club in Manalapan. The outing exceeded expectations! Thanks to the generosity of all who attended or made donations, a total of $32,088 was raised to help build a home for the Castillo family of Orlando, Florida. Among those in attendance at this year’s event were Army Staff Sergeant William Castillo and his wife Katherine, Spc. Iowa Army National Guard Robert "B.J." Jackson and his wife Abby, and Army Staff Sergeant Josh Forbess and his wife Tori.

Building Homes for Heroes is forever indebted to Jason Evanchik for taking on the tremendous task of organizing and carrying out this incredible event.
